WHAT HAPPENS WITH A LATE CANCELLATION?

24 hours notice is required or 100 % consultation fee is forfeited.

No show to a consultation results in 100% payment of scheduled fee.

Partial refunds will be transferred into your nominated bank account within 1 business day upon receipt of the account details.

Rescheduling of booking is available and 48 hours notice is appreciated.

Refunds or replacement of supplements will be provided in the case of faulty products and the faulty product will need to be returned so as this can be taken up with the Nutraceutical Company.

Pricing is in Australian Dollars.

WHAT IS A CLINICAL NUTRITIONIST?

A Clinical Nutritionist, considers the whole person, mind, body and spirit to provide a personalised treatment plan, incorporating dietary, lifestyle and nutritional supplements to meet your individual needs and health goals.

Taking a holistic approach to identify how factors such as diet, genetics, stress, environment and lifestyle are impacting your health and your nutritional needs.

Treatment plans are informed by research and empirical knowledge to provide symptom relief and address the underlying cause of acute and chronic conditions.

Education is a key element during consultations to empower you to implement the realistic and achievable dietary and lifestyle recommendations, on your journey to a healthier you.

WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER CLINICAL NUTRITIONIST SERVICES?

Nutritionists may be covered by health insurance depending on your reason for meeting with them. Nutrition counseling is more likely to be covered if it is part of a doctor-prescribed treatment for a particular medical condition, such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure or coronary heart disease.

WHAT IS CLINICAL NUTRITION?

Clinical Nutrition is an evidence-based holistic therapy incorporating nutritional principles, nutritional biochemistry and the understanding of the functional role of food and nutrients for optimal health, healing, growth and development.
The understanding of digestion, absorption, transportation and excretion of nutrients is important to understand the processes involved in health and disease.
Nutritional medicine can be beneficial in the management and prevention of diseases and may be utilised alongside medical and other complementary therapies.
The body is a complex organism and works due to the sum of its\' parts. Therefore, our body requires good, nutrient dense, wholefoods to be able to heal and function optimally.

WHAT IS COVERED IN MY INITIAL CONSULT?

A thorough and detailed initial consultation to gather information for a comprehensive picture about your health, including signs and symptoms, diagnoses, pathology, dietary assessment, anthropometric measurements, lifestyle factors and behaviours.
urther pathology testing may be required to assess nutrient status and possible conditions that maybe playing a role in your health.
An individualised treatment plan incorporating diet, lifestyle recommendations and nutraceutical supplements may be prescribed for therapeutic benefit.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DOES EAT FIT CLINICAL NUTRITION TAKE?

Fees must be paid in full at the end of each consultation. This is particularly important if you are eligible to claim a rebate from Medicare as they will only refund invoices that have been paid in full. Eat Fit accepts payment with cash, EFTPOS, Master Card and Visa. For your convenience, we also offer on the spot claims through HICAPS enabling you to claim your private health fund rebate at the time of payment.

WHAT DOES MY FOLLOW UP CONSULTATION INCLUDE?

Follow up consultations are shorter in length, but allow time to check your progress, any changes and what may be working or not working for you.
This is an opportunity to adjust your treatment plan and nutraceutical supplement prescriptions.
Follow-Up Consultations are available via Zoom or phone to allow flexibility.
Treatment plans will be emailed post consultation. Any prescribed supplements will be delivered directly to you.
Please contact us to arrange a convenient time for a Zoom/phone consult outside of clinic hours, if this is required.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?

For you fist appointment, you will need to bring these items (if you have them):

  • New Client Intake form (first appointment)

  • Diet Diary

  • Blood Tests / Pathology - up to 6 months old

  • Photos / Lists / Packaging of: Medications, Supplements / Herbs

And of course, any questions you may have.
